In association with SGiP, PRAVA ZA SVE developed Draft of A Manual for Integrating Gender Into Legislations. Main goal of this Manual is to present practical options for successful integration gender into legislations. Manual shows steps for integrating gender into legislation, from the earliest stages in the procedures of legal drafting up to the to review the draft law undertaken by parliamentary bodies.
To achive wider usability of Manual, SGIP in cooperation with PRAVA ZA SVE was organized half-day Forum/Workshop on Draft of A Manual, where participants gave their comments and sugestions for improving of Manual. The presentation was held on 31th Mart 2015.
Presentation was attended by representatives of NGO (Vive žene, Zemlja djece, ICVA and KULT) and representatives of Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. Ex-member of Parliamentary Assembly of FBiH and politician, Besima Boric, and assistant Director in Geder Center FBiH, Vikica Sunjic, also grace us with their presence. Guests contributed by giving comments and also participated in exciting discusion.
Participants agreed this is a great tool for those working in a process of drafting laws and will be helpful for developing new legislation. Also, it was highlighted necessity of harmonization all new-adopted regulations with the Law on Gender Equality.
